- Arrange all tools and hair accessories before starting your hairdo. Wash your hair properly to remove dust and oils. It is necessary because dust and oil can make your hair dull.
- Use rat-tail comb for center parting your hair equally. After center parting, create another partition in triangular shape at the back of your head. Rat-tail comb will be very helpful to part your hair from the end of center parting in left and right direction. Clip remaining portion of the tresses to create your shorter layered hairstyle simple and effortless.
- Brush 1 inch wide portion of your locks through the center of triangular and hold the necessary portion of your hair in between 2 fingers maintaining them straight flat.
- Cut this section to your required length and then comb it to see the balance. This first cutting of layer will serve as guideline to cut other layers. Other layers will slightly overlap from first one. Continue cutting in the same manner with other sections of hair and after finished cutting comb your hair properly. This combing is to analyze either all hair ends are at level and if you find any uneven ends then snip them away using scissors.
